ARTIST’S BIO
Carol Komassa, (born in London, England) is a USA Arizona resident.
Carol picked up watercolor painting again when she immigrated to the USA, 33 years ago and started her family. A small advertisement in the local paper to promote an “unusual gift for Father’s Day” & “A Watercolor Painting of Your House or Favorite Barn” brought a flood of commissions that turned a hobby into a small business …. and the rest is history!
When Carol moved to Ozaukee County, WI., she was captivated by the local barns, older homes and the beautiful local landmarks. Moving to Arizona, the painted desert, and mother nature constantly offers perfect sunsets, Southwest flowers and cactus. In 2008 Carol took up fine art digital photography. These landscapes and flowers have been an inspiration to her.
Carol finds painting and art photography very rewarding, relaxing and loses all sense of time – “I get lost in a time-warp”. A true joy, especially when clients “gasp and smile with pleasure” enjoying her original art work!
Carol was accepted and exhibited into Juried Art Shows at:
Pioneer Village Show – Saukville, WI.
Octagon Art Fair – Mequon, WI.
Art-A-Fair – Grafton, WI.
The Arts Weekend Studio Tour, Ozaukee County, WI.
Children's Hospital of Milwaukee - Artist Gallery - September 2011.
ACCC - 2012 - Photography - Acceptance for 'Supreme Blue Orchid'.
Carol is a member of the Digital Camera Club at her community in Arizona.
